Who we are
Groundworks Submission Fighting was never about being the best—it was about building a platform. A stage where athletes could showcase their talent, where fans could experience the energy of live grappling up close, and where our community could rally behind something real.
Our story starts with three people who have lived every side of the fight game:
Drake Pellegrin, a competitor and lifelong student of combat sports, that is a strong leader in the community of Louisiana jiu-jitsu.
Amy Pellegrin, owner of Revival Media LLC, a marketer and entrepreneur, that knows how to turn vision into opportunity and give athletes the spotlight they deserve.
Clayre Plumbar, owner of Ignite Fitness LLC, a passionate coach, mentor, and business leader, that spends her time pushing people in our community strive for more.
We didn’t launch Groundworks to be “just another promotion.” We launched it to give athletes a platform that respects their work—and to give fans an event that feels alive, authentic, and close to the action.
From up-and-coming prospects fighting for recognition to seasoned competitors testing their skills, Groundworks was built to celebrate the fight community. Every event is about more than matchups—it’s about giving athletes a stage, fans an unforgettable experience, and our region a reason to be proud of its talent.
This isn’t just a show. This is Groundworks, community built and competitor focused.
